After viewing the documentary on Tennessee William’s life, identify at least three items in “The Glass Menagerie” that relate to his real experiences at home.
The same things in the life and the movie is 1] Tom and Tennesse worked in a factory 2] They both also had distant fathers, Tom's father ran away from home, and Tennesse's father traveled a lot for work before he worked at the factory. 3] Tom's mother was very controlling over her children, as well as Tennesse's mother.
Three things would be 1) Tom having a fragile, crazy sister 2) Tom having a nagging mother 3) Tom having to deal with the responsibilty of the family. Basically being the man of the house.
The three things I noticed were: the controlling mother, the mentally ill sister, and feeling of wanting to escape from normal life.
