Personal Growth

When working in dramatic exercises your inner dialogue should be functioning. Asking yourself such questions as, “what is the purpose of this exercise? Why do I feel so dumb doing this? What is going on here? And so on. Elaborate on your personal growth from the beginning of the semester to this half-way point. Are you more comfortable being in front of audience? Comfortable with your body perception?

  1. At first, some of the exercises didn't seem to make sense. However, over time, we started connecting a lot of the exercises with actual concepts talked about in class. An example would be the exercises we did on how to improvise.

  2. Many of the exercises still don't make sense and the only way for people to get over their fear of doing things in front of people is to just do it. I have taught other courses before and am very comfortable being in front of people, and don't really feel that the exercises have very much value other than for people to have some minor social interaction.
